Random Thoughts

I had plans today. That didn't work out quite so well. This is the reason I don't often make plans. When they fall apart, I don't know what to do with myself.

Elliott Smith is my current favorite artist. Johnny Cash has been supplanted.

For my birthday, my woman got me a pen. When I put it like that, it sounds like Say Anything. "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen." Actually, I'm really pleased; it's a quill and ink set. I'm also intimidated. If you're using a quill, what you write should have resonance. "We the people..." or "Oh that this too too solid flesh would melt..." or even "... it was my earnest desire that this offspring of my brain should be as beautiful, ingenious, and sprightly as it is possible to imagine; but alas!..."

So I'm all about being eloquent and fluid when I use it, but I'm neither of these things. I'm waiting for a bolt of inspiration or something, because I feel like I'd sulley the quill if I don't write something profound. I get intimidated by the stupidest stuff.
